Monica has studied many different forms and styles of yoga over the past several years (Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Bikram, Yin, Anusara, Hot 26, Hot Flow, Deep Stretch, Viniyoga, Pre-natal) through teacher trainings, workshops, traveling to various studios and through her own self study through books and home practice. She has studied with master teachers such as Sean Corn, Bryan Kest, Sarah Powers, Max Strom, Steve Ross, Vinnie Marino, plus many more and has been to about every yoga studio in LA! She was RYT certified through At OneYoga in Phoenix, AZ in 2001 and continues to stay inspired, grow and learn through her own practice, attending workshops and by attending classes of her awesome fellow teachers.

Monica teaches vinyasa flow, pre-natal, and slow flow/deep stretch classes. Her classes are lighthearted but challenging and are for all levels. She uses her years of experience to create a balanced sequence of postures and also incorporates different modifications of the asanas to bring each student to their edge whether beginner or advanced. Her prenatal classes focus on safe poses for each trimester of pregnancy, gentle stretches, and bonding with our babies. She uses an eclectic mix of music from Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Thievery Corporation to the sounds of their own breath. Most importantly, she tries to empower her students by teaching not only the alignment properties of the postures, but by also bringing out the beautiful moving meditation and surrender in each pose encouraging students to feel instead of think.
