I have been studying and practicing yoga for five years, coming to it after trying many other forms of 'exercise' that did not give me the fulfillment I was seeking.
When I first practiced yoga it was different. Yoga was not just a form of exercise but more of a journey: A journey into my mind and my body, a process of
letting go of the old to make room for the new. My body said "Yes…Finally, thank you!"
I spent one year in California studying and practicing many types of hatha yoga. My teachers included Bryan Kest, Sean Corne, Allen Finger and Anna Forrest.
My studies of the ancient healing practice of Ayurvedic medicine assisted the journey into my true self. I found balance between the body, mind and spirit through
power vinyasa flow and Ayurvedic medicine, developing my awareness of the link between personal health, the right foods, yoga breathing and meditation.
Yoga is a challenging practice not just on a physical level, but mentally as well. The journey of yoga is the most rewarding and challenging endeavor I have
ever taken, with more benefits than I could have ever imagined.
I recently completed Level 1 Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher Training. I hope to incorporate all my training and life experiences to be able to give to my students what so many teachers have given to me.
It is about the journey not the destination
